The Grate Debate

I don't know about you, but I feel a little dumber after watching the second Presidential debate tonight...like I actually lost brain cells from the exposure. I am so incredibly frustrated at the obvious ineptitude of both candidates. Maybe they just don't do TV so well...but I doubt it.

John McCain entered tonight’s debate with the presidential election to lose. The market has tanked another 500-points, following passage of a bail out plan he could have voted against, but chose not to.
The campaigns are devolving into nothing but an expensive, televised mudfest. There is no meaningful dialogue being heard.
Obama looked relaxed…McCain marched stiffly onstage.
It went downhill from there.

Tonight there was nothing new; no winners; all losers, especially the American people.
There was less clarity on the issues tonight than before.
And I shared Tom Brokaw's frustration as he vainly tried to keep the candidates on time, much less on track. If these guys can’t tell time—how can they tell what to do for the country?

Obama finished looking less assured…and both men seemed to be grasping at air to get beyond their fast-brewed talking points and into the realm of cerebral granola for any content worth digesting.

Sadly, the granola bar wrapper was empty tonight.
